I have been a little slow at getting this entry in. This rose has been waiting in my studio since last Sunday and was starting to look rather sad. Hanging, helped counter that droopy look that it was starting to take on.
Thanks Sonya and L.Holm. I think the rose was reflecting my feelings that week.
Absolutely Sonya. I'll check my work schedule and let you know when I'm there. I'd love to go paint with you sometime, I just have to work around family obligations. Look forward to seeing you!
Beautiful work on your rose challenge, Susan. Just noticed it through Sonya's blog link. The best part of this challenge is discovering new artists that I like!
Thanks D and Gwen. I agree with getting to discover other artists and see their work. There are some really fantastic artists out there and great people as well.
Nice job on this, and great way to make the most of a fading rose.
ReplyDeleteWe should figure out some time to get together soon. Maybe at the Mancos gallery when you're working, or to paint, or something!
Love your version of this. beautiful color combos, and fun to see a twist on the rose theme!
