I am still working on some deadlines coming up at the end of the month so I haven't been posting lately. One of the shows coming up is a wildlife show so I did this kestrel portrait as a warm up. I see these little guys all over out here. I think they are one of the more beautifully colored raptors.
This is wonderful, Susan! Cute and fierce at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI took some photos of an American kestrel at the AZ Sonoran Desert Museum in Tucson this past Dec - I had no idea they were so small...and colorful. Good luck with the deadlines and your show entries (is this for the "Animals Rule" show here in Durango, by chance? Or maybe that is only photos...).
Thanks Sonya. Oops, forgot it was an American Kestrel.
ReplyDeleteThis show is at the Goodnight Trail Gallery in Mancos, Veryl had asked me and I am really nervous about it. Didn't hear about the Animals Rule show, sounds fun. Are you showing?.
Mancos is having their Mancos Melt this weekend. Critter Parade, Chili, Bed Races, etc., mostly on Saturday, come visit!
I will definitely have to see the show at Veryl's gallery - when is the reception for it? I'd love to come if I can.
ReplyDeleteNot entering the FLC/DAC show - my animal photos leave a lot to be desired...
I didn't know about the Mancos Melt; we may try to make it if we don't go to Chaco tomorrow.
I will have to find out the exact dates. I will let youy know when and what, if any of my work, was accepted.
ReplyDeleteVery Nice feeling Susan .... glad to see your work!
