Last of the Color
I have been out and about for the last week. I attended the American Impressionist Society's symposium in Indianapolis last weekend then visited with my mom near St. Louis. I always love getting a chance to paint here and I was lucky that there was still some color. This scene is less than a mile from the earlier painting "The Road Home". There is usually a flock of turkeys hanging out in this field, but it could be turkey season and they are laying low. I used to hunt quail and pheasant with my father and these fall scenes bring back fond memories.
