Hawaiian Carver

This man does some of the most beautiful carvings in bone and fossilized tusk.  I am sorry that he doesn't have a website so you could see his beautiful work.

Waiting for the Bus

I took a photo of this scene in Denver a couple of years ago.  I really liked this image and always wanted to work it into a painting.

Winter's Light

I had been wanting to play with the blue shadows that are cast across the snow.  This is a tricky scene to catch with the whites and darks, things can really get mucked up rather quickly.

This is another scene up at Barlow Creek.

After the rain

I have been out for a while and am just now getting a chance to paint again. Veryl, Leonard Davis and myself went up early Wednesday morning to paint below Helmet Peak. It was an absolutely fabulous morning, cool and bug free, fresh from recent rains. I painted this one early while the clouds still hid the tops of the mountains giving them a lovely etherial feeling.

Moon over Goodman Point

This was M0nday morning, just before the sun came up. The moon was on the west horizon with those wonderful colors that happen at that time of day. I just couldn't resist trying to capture that light.

Waiting Patiently

This scene was just up from my house this morning.
