I guess everyone gets the desire to do sunflowers at one time or another. I had put these in my favorite blue lock top jar and found I must try to paint this. I wish it had been looser but maybe next time.
Here is an in progress photo with my $45 easel from a local antique store.
Looks great, Susan! I love sunflowers, and I'm sure I'll end up painting some. They always make a great subject for paintings, I think, esp. with blue.
ReplyDeleteWay to go scoring the easel, too :).
Thanks Sonya. Blue is the color to have with these flowers, it really makes an eye catching combination.
ReplyDeleteThat's a "Treasures by Therese" find there in Durango. It was buried in the back. Woo Hoo, always love a bargain!
It's gorgeous just the way it is. Sunflowers are a favorite of mine and paired in that blue jar they are just perfect. Beautiful colors, just makes you happy:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie. I never really thought about it that way, but you're right it does make you feel happy.
ReplyDeleteYes we all need to do sunflowers at least once each year. I love how you paired it with the cobalt blue--very nice!!
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie, Thanks for the nice comment. It's amazing how near complimentary colors can give a painting pizazz.
